Natalie Rupnow Death- fatal Madison, Wisconsin School Shooting
Authorities in Madison, Wisconsin, continue to address the aftermath of last year’s school shooting involving a 15‑year‑old student, identified in court records as Natalie Rupnow. Her father, 43‑year‑old Jeffrey Rupnow, has now been ordered to stand trial on charges connected to the incident.
Rupnow appeared in court for a pre liminary hearing on Thursday, roughly eleven weeks after his May 8 arrest. He was released the following day after posting a $20,000 bond.
Prosecutors have charged him with two counts of providing a dangerous weapon to a minor resulting in death, along with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a child. If convicted on all charges, he could face up to 18 years in prison.
During the hearing, a court commissioner dismissed the defense’s argument that Rupnow was unaware of his daughter’s intentions and did not directly supply her with the firearms used in the attack. The case will now proceed to trial, where the full circumstances surrounding the shooting and the allegations against Rupnow will be examined.
